Sourcing notes & unresolved questions
- Founding is sharply disputed: one history has the site opening in 1906 as F. D. Lawley, Inc., closing in 1929 and reopening as Quincy Adams under Harold Noyes; another gives the Quincy Adams Yacht Yard's own span as 1932–1968. Sources also disagree on whether Fred Lawley was George Lawley's son or grandson.
