Where a claim rests only on a general reference work or a single enthusiast site, the entry says so.
How sources are used. Entries here are written from their sources, not copied from them: the prose, the selection of what to record and the arrangement of it are original to this atlas. Facts are not anyone's property, but expression is, and where a source is worth quoting it is quoted and attributed rather than paraphrased into ours. Where an entry draws on Wikipedia, that material is itself licensed CC BY-SA 4.0 and is used and relicensed under those terms. Passages from works published before 1929 are in the public domain and remain so.
